Design to Launch Overview - The Exciting Phase
These next steps bring your vision to life.4) The design process
Designing a website, no matter how big or small, is an extensive process that can be overwhelming. A large and time-consuming part of designing a website is in the planning and layout stage of the process.
To better help you understand what to expect during the design and development, we’ve outlined the process into 3 steps:
1) Layout and design
First, we’ll create a wireframe and sitemap (Page/Menu hierarchy) of the website for your approval. Then we’ll mock up the home page for approval. Up to 3 revisions are included in each of these 2 steps.
2) Development
Once the site layout and design are approved, we start building the site. During this phase, we gather content and images. We’ll make sure your site looks great and functions seamlessly across all devices and web browsers before moving to the final step.
3) Edits & Training
When we’re close to going live, you’ll be able to review each page. We’ll make detailed edits to ensure the site is launch-ready. At this time we’ll schedule your personal training sessions so you can confidently take control of your live site. FYI – If you don’t want to update site content, we have content updating packages. Just let us know if you are interested.
5) THE FUN PART – GOING LIVE!
When your site is ready to go live, all unnecessary plugins, pages, and backend files will be removed. Your site will launch under your domain name – not the temporary build domain we use. Don’t worry – we’ll remind you about this.
Once live, it may take between 24-48 hours for your new site to pull up on some devices. Your browser may need to be refreshed in order to see the new site, but most will see the new site fairly quickly after the launch.
While your training will have prepared you for making changes, we’re always here for support and advice. As long as your website is with us, you’re under our attentive care.
Upon completion, you’ll receive a link to our Moving Forward page where you’ll receive tips and tricks on what to do with your new website and also information on our Maintenance/Security Plan which is included with your monthly subscription.
